Prayer Strategy in the Fight for Marriage in Washington State
The attack on the institution of marriage is just one of the many examples of why the Church needs to be allied together. There is exponential power in agreement. If there was ever a time for a kingdom league, it is now. We have been asked to help therefore I've pledged to use our mobilization strategy, "Operation Rolling Thunder" to help mobilize and organize the body of Christ to do pray and act in faith with wisdom. Pray with us for: Unity of the body of Christ – Power of Agreement · Matt 18:19, Deut 32:30 & Lev 26:8 · 1 Cor 12:12-14, 25-26 - that there would be no schism Spirit of truth & bind spirit of error from blinding the minds and twisting the truth · 1 John 4:6 · 2 Cor 4:3-4 300,000+ signatures for Initiative 1192 (Click Protect Marriage WA ST petitions) - July 180,000 signatures for Referendum 74 (Click Preserve Marriage for petitions) - June "What you create you have the authority to legislate."Quote by Tim Taylor That is why in 1811 when the Episcopal Church tried to get the US government to incorporate it, President James Madison vetoed the bill. He understood that Jesus created the Church, not civil government. Therefore civil government had no jurisdiction in the matter. Jesus is the creator and therefore the one who establishes the order of how things work. The institution of marriage was created by God. It is between a man and a woman. To alter this definition and practice is a violation of jurisdiction. Civil government in this case is going beyond their jurisdiction motivated by a misguided sense of what is right based upon misguided emotions and political correctness. I call Christians in my state to get informed and exercise your right has a citizen to express your concern to our governor and your state legislators. Passing laws that encourage people to sin and violate God's order causes eternal laws to be set in motion which can lead to even the land vomiting its people out (Lev. 18). It is time to stand in the gap, pray, love those who are bound in sin, while standing for righteousness in word and deed. |
