The wicked flee when no one pursues, But the righteous are bold as a lion. Proverbs 28:1 NKJV This short but inspired phrase contains an exceptional key: the righteous are as bold as a lion. It provides keen insight into the mystery of the weakness we see demonstrated in the Church today. The lack of power demonstrated today testifies of our carnality. The primary reason for this lack of power is directly related to a genuine lack of holiness. I'm not talking about legalism. I'm talking about true holiness which is not based on the love of the law but on the law of love. It is a love that produces an overflowing life and peace vice the religious legalism which only produces death and barrenness.
There is no question that sin is the primary reason for continual failure. However, love for Jesus compels us to draw close to our Lord with a repentant heart seeking His help in removing everything that separates us from Him. Confessing our sin, our weakness and our failure, repenting and acknowledging the marvelous power of the blood of Christ to wash away our sin providing us with the righteousness which is the key to supernatural power for truly, the righteous are as bold as a lion.
