I recently received an inquiry form from our website from an apostle. He had read my books and asked about examples of on going transformation. I wanted to share my reply:
Dear Apostle Gunter,
Thank you for your inquiry. I’m extremely happy to hear that you believe this strategy will serve you and the Church in Germany.
Tell me, which books have you read or what material (websites) have you been to?
It’s hard for me to say as to how things have continued in many places in that it relies upon those using this strategy to report to us what is happening. For example, a leader in the State of Kansas used ORT to mobilize 267 churches in 16 cities. They reported what occurred for the 1st year (quite miraculous I might add, part of their testimony is in my book Operation Rolling Thunder – Revised Edition). Part of the reason I did not hear is because some of the church leaders were offended by certain language (ie. Eph 4:7-11, miracles…). But I did not hear from them until I received a phone call last year where they reported how that network turned the tide in the election of a governor who was a Christian in the last 24 hours before the election.
By 2011 we’d seen leaders in 36 nations report using this strategy and they represented 10,000+ churches (conservative estimate). For our small team, it became to difficult to try to track. By 2012 I quit trying to keep up pursuing results and encouraging reports. Since then, we trust God to encourage them to do so and we report what they share when we can.
But, that is all changing as soon...
One of the things that mark God's spirit resting upon someone is their ability to lend their lips to the Lord such that they become His representative releasing His words on earth. Numbers 11:25 reveals what happens when God's spirit rests upon a person.
Then the Lord came down in the cloud, and spoke to him, and took of the Spirit that was upon him, and placed the same upon the seventy elders; and it happened, when the Spirit rested upon them, that they prophesied, although they never did so again.
The Hebrew word for prophesy in this scripture is "Naba." It means to speak, prophesy or sing under inspiration. To speak or sing under the influence of a spirit; to be a prophet.
You can recognize a mouthpiece for God by observing God's spirit resting upon a person. One of the signs is they prophesy.
Each of these men except for Moses only yielded themselves once. In the New Testament the Holy Spirit does an inward work and there is an outward (Spirit baptism, fully covers, comes and rests upon them) work. There are gifts with Him too enumerated in 1 Corinthians 12:4-11.
There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all: for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit, to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills.
The gift of prophecy given by the Holy Spirit is for edification, exhortation and comfort (1 Corinthians 14:3). The office of prophet was a gift given by Jesus to work with four other gifts (Ephesians 4:7). It functions....
It's no secret that we've been changing. Scripture reveals there are two ways we are transformed. The first is by beholding continually the glory of the Lord. That my friends is part of the goal of our strategy.
Romans 12:2 says "And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God."
The second way is by renewing our minds which is done with and through God's word. But the main thing I want to emphasize here is that we are "transformed" to....... PROVE the will of God.
Right now KLI and the strategy we steward is in the midst of a great change. I've had a multitude of encounters with the Lord through the years. Dr. Peter Wagner was given my manuscript in 1994 which had the foundation strategy, principles and scripture upon which 1Church1Day is based upon. Dr. Wagner wrote back in red in scribbled at the top of my manuscript. It said:
"Nice theory, no proof!"
In 2009 Dr. Wagner attended a conference in Colorado Springs in which Dutch Sheets invited me to speak and he saw all the fruit of the strategy. His challenge to prove God's word was the perfect thing I needed to hear in 94. CONECT, ORT and now 1Church1Day are all the same but they've all had their time and season.
In this season with 1Church1Day we get to "prove" the next part of God's word. It has to do with "communication" and the extraordinary amount of power that will be produced through that. Here are some of the changes you can expect to see.
