![]() I received a report from the CONECTers in Gainesville FL (Carl & Brenda Krames of Prepare 4 Transformation Ministries). They are following a strategic wisdom presented through Operation Rolling Thunder. Following the pattern they helped form a strategic council by facilitating a meeting with the police chief and pastors. They report: At last month's CPA (Christian Pastors Association) meeting with Police Chief on July 16th the chief specifically requested that the attending pastors pray and agree with him for the capture of Larry Whitehead Jr., pulling his mug shot up for us on the overhead screen in the GPD conference room. Mr. Whitehead was a suspect in the killing of a man earlier that month and instigating a number of other violent offenses in the Gainesville area. Mr. Whitehead was arrested Sunday morning September 15th in Virginia. We specifically prayed that no one would be injured in his capture. Praise the Lord! God hears our prayers! Here's the link in the Gainesville Sun: http://www.gainesville.com/article/20130915/ARTICLES/130919736/0/search Talk about "preparing for transformation!" They have not only prepared for transformation they are executing transformation. They are putting faith into action. They are fulfilling the assignment Christ gave them. Isn't it awesome to see what coordinated concentrated specific prayer can produced when combined with honoring authority and proper jurisdiction? The fruit of Carl, Brenda and the Church of Gainseville's cooperation has been truly impactful. To see some of the other things Christ has worked through the Church in Gainesville that we know of visit http://www.kingdomleague.org/apps/search?q=gainesville. Jesus is glorified when we do well and we are praying that the Church in Gainesville will continue to not only do well.... but excel in all things associated with presenting the gospel of the kingdom of our Lord Jesus Christ. ![]() Are you going through a real stressful time? Do you feel like you are about to "FREAK OUT?" Well that's not good. "Freaking out" is a sure sign that fear has taken over and is digging its tentacles into your mind to torment you. 1 John 4:18 says, There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love. NKJV Faith works by love and the bible says that perfect love casts out fear. There is a good kind of fear (ie. fear of the Lord, sharks, climbing a mountain, entering a combat zone etc.) that heightens our senses and leads to wiser choices. Then there is the bad fear that torments and causes us to freeze up. That is the kind of fear we want to avoid. Working Out in the Spirit Some stress is good! That's what causes muscles to grow. You just need to make sure you strike a balance between fear, rest, and God's nutrition. Allow the thing that is the catalyst for fear (that's the thing that first concerns you) motivate you to take action. Fear can be like a heavy weight that can immobilize you. So, let's think of this like a workout. ![]() Dr. Jason Hubbard, founder of Light of the World Prayer Center and our state CONECTer for Operation Rolling Thunder passed on a news article from the Bellingham Herald by Dave Gallagher titled Whatcom's GDP rose 4.2 percent in 2012. Dave reports "Whatcom County's gross domestic product grew 4.2 percent in 2012 compared to the previous year, well above the national average increase of 2.5 percent." A November 4, 2012 article titled Bible software company Logos helps spark Bellingham's downtown revival provides another glimpse into this remarkable story. This business grew from 30 employees to 320. What does prayer have to do with that? They (Light of the World Prayer Center) have followed ORT's mobilization strategy since 2005. They formed strategic councils in all 7 spheres of society and one of those councils is a business council. Kingdom minded leaders meet together to pray and then pass on strategic intelligence in which LOWPC uses to determine their corporate prayer targets which in turn is provided to the CONECTers of each of the 31 local churches taking one day each month to pray 24/7. LOWPC which functions similar to the International House of Prayer serves as the strategic operations center coordinating and communicating. Turning around their dying downtown economy was one of the targets over the last several years. So, in addition to seeing abortions decline, adoptions rise, church plants multiply, crime decline, they are also seeing economic development. Talk about blessing and serving your community! This is one more example of the kind of results and impact churches can have on their communities if they apply the strategic wisdom found in the Operation Rolling Thunder strategy. If God did this for them, He can and will certainly do it for you and your community, if you apply the wisdom for in our Lord's strategy. ![]() Pastor Nani from India reports great news! They are planting another church and...... an invitation to join him in mobilizing churches to pray using Operation Rolling Thunder (ORT) was answered by pastors from Karnataka state and from Tamilnadu state! Glory to Jesus! ORT is a mobilization strategy that makes a way for a leader or a church to bring others to our Lord's holy mountain of Zion. It helps them work together to build our Lord's House of Prayer for all Nations based upon the pattern King David used in his tabernacle (Acts 15:16-17). Isaiah 56:7 - Even them I will bring to My holy mountain, And make them joyful in My house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and their sacrifices Will be accepted on My altar; For My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations." NKJV Transforming Society - One Life, One Community, one State at a Time Pastor Nani and the Church in India are seeing the same kinds of results other cities have seen as they connected together and began to pray using the ORT strategy. Several US cities like Gainesville FL have seen the Church's prayer have a powerful affect on crime. Pastor Nani and 19 churches in India followed suit earlier this year and saw them have a powerful impact on rapes in their area. Amos 3:7 - Surely the Lord God does nothing, Unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets. Here is a summary of the major themes I see:
Lance's Post - 9/17/2013 ![]() As I meditated upon God's word this morning I was led to Hebrews 12:22 which so powerfully reveals what it is that Operation Rolling Thunder empowers the Church in a city to do to bring the word into manifestation. It's awesome! This brings us to:
Hebrews 12:22-29 But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, to an innumerable company of angels, 23 to the general assembly and church of the firstborn who are registered in heaven, to God the Judge of all, to the spirits of just men made perfect, 24 to Jesus the Mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks better things than that of Abel. 25 See that you do not refuse Him who speaks. For if they did not escape who refused Him who spoke on earth, much more shall we not escape if we turn away from Him who speaks from heaven, 26 whose voice then shook the earth; but now He has promised, saying, "Yet once more I shake not only the earth, but also heaven." 27 Now this, "Yet once more," indicates the removal of those things that are being shaken, as of things that are made, that the things which cannot be shaken may remain. 28 Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear. 29 For our God is a consuming fire. NKJV Grace comes from a Greek word (charis) that means graciousness, a literal or spiritual divine influence upon the heart and its reflection in life. It is translated as benefit, favor, gift, grace, joy or liberality in the King James. Many today use this word as if it means mercy which is different. Grace is God's enabling power. Grace empowers us to serve God with reverence and godly fear. It empowers us to do what we cannot do on our own. Grace, God's enabling power, enables fallible men to go beyond what the Law required. For example: ![]() I received an email this morning from one of our partners in ministry about Mostafa who accepted our Lord Jesus Christ in 2009. Click here for the full story from a ministry sponsored by the Voice of the Martyrs. He was recently imprisoned in Iran because they accused him of:
My thought was, "Lord, is there enough evidence to convict me of being a Christian?" Is there enough evidence to convict you? Revelation 2:1-6 "To the angel of the church of Ephesus write, 'These things says He who holds the seven stars in His right hand, who walks in the midst of the seven golden lampstands: 2 "I know your works, your labor, your patience, and that you cannot bear those who are evil. And you have tested those who say they are apostles and are not, and have found them liars; 3 and you have persevered and have patience, and have labored for My name's sake and have not become weary. 4 Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love. 5 Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works, or else I will come to you quickly and remove your lampstand from its place — unless you repent. NKJV ![]() Update 9-17-2013 - Fully Funded! Brenda and I have the great privilege of ministering in Myanmar/Burma soon. I began to work with a young apostle starting in 2006 who served as one of our CONECTers. In 2008 he helped launch one of the first prayer centers through ORT. This strategy has helped leaders launch 34 prayer centers around the world so far. Our CONECTer worked with 7 different denominations and they established Mount Horeb Prayer Center. During our outreach we will be not only will we minister to the founders of the prayer center, church elders and tribal elders but we will also host an Apostolic Leadership Conference for 150 ministers. The focus of this conference is equipping kings and priest to re-present the gospel of the kingdom with authority in power in Jesus name. We see this as a strategic opportunity. Christians are a minority here, however, the area we are in has a large contingent of Christians. So we'll have an opportunity to help them build that eternal house of prayer for all nations with a view to launching a variety of aggressive church planting strategies into the nation. We will also visit children in a nursery and install a fresh water well for the young apostle and his people. We covet your prayer and support ($2700 more needed today). If you would like to learn how you can partner with us in this strategic outreach then I invite you to visit http://fundly.com/myanmar-burma-outreach. For those who have already given we say: Thanks be to God for your indescribable gift 2 Corinthians 9:12-15 For the administration of this service not only supplies the needs of the saints, but also is abounding through many thanksgivings to God, while, through the proof of this ministry, they glorify God for the obedience of your confession to the gospel of Christ, and for your liberal sharing with them and all men, and by their prayer for you, who long for you because of the exceeding grace of God in you. Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift! Brenda and I want to extend our sincerest heartfelt thanks to you for your partnership in the gospel and your stewardship distribution of the resources Christ put within your hands. We thank God for you and bless you in Jesus name. Bless according to the Theological Workbook of the Old Testament means "to endue with power for success, prosperity, fecundity (means to reproduce), and longevity..." Enjoy the slide show below! ![]() Last night at mid-night I led our local church in our day of 24/7 prayer by taking the first watch. We are working with other local congregations in our community to raise up a canopy of 24/7 prayer 365 days out of the year. That's the goal. We discovered through Operation Rolling Thunder that if churches in a community cooperate together we can do this quickly. One of the benefits is God's voice. He loves to communicate with us. The challenge is, we often have a difficult time hearing what He is saying. The question is, how can we position ourselves better to hear what the Lord is saying and see what He is doing or trying to communicate? As I began my watch last night I was actually surprised when the Lord began to talk to me about how a watchman can position himself with the best vantage point for my watch. Higher is better. The higher you are the further you can see. So how can a person who is going to stand watch position themselves with the highest vantage point? Psalm 147:6 The Lord lifts up the humble; He casts the wicked down to the ground. Worship! The way to get higher is to go lower! As I contemplated that the Lord led me to worship! Here are some of the acts of worship that involve humility.
These are some of the ways that we humble ourselves. Humility involves our recognition of our frailty, weakness and limitations and our utter dependence upon the Lord's love, goodness and mercy. The humility also comes with a strength and confidence. It is confident in the Lord's love, ability and power. Our boast and our confidence is in our Lord! Therefore, as you prepare for your watch make it your goal to acquire the best vantage point for that watch! Aim low to go high! James 4:10 - Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up. |
