 Click image for a study on Rosh Hashana Starting the evening of September 13th the Feasts of Trumpets (Rosh Hashana) begins followed by the 10 Days of Awe. Shortly thereafter we enter into Sukkot or the Feasts of Tabernacles.
These feasts were introduced by God to the Hebrews. While we are no longer under the law these feasts serve as a powerful type of shadow pointing to God's divine plan (Heb. 8:5, 10:1, 2 Chron. 8:13 & Zech. 14:16). This is a good time for a Christian to reflect upon how he/she has stewarded his life in the past year and to prepare for the next year. Click here for a study on the Feasts of Tabernacles. Tabernacles begins on the evening of September 27th this year. There is a strange phenomenon associated with the moon and this day. The moon will become three things at once on that evening. It will be a harvest moon, a blood moon and a super moon. All these things point to Jesus. Click here for "The Signs in Heaven Point to a Harvest & Christs' Return."  In this last week we've received three significant watchman reports. The first report was "Prepare for What is Ahead Within the Walls of Grace and Peace." The theme was of a people prepared for the harvest. They built a strong city because they were prepared and "readiness is your way of life."
The next two reports were received on the same day. One was a dream and the other a vision. They dealt with warnings about preparational errors. This is NOT PRACTICE! The dream (Kara W): This season may be temporary, but your tent needs to be on a strong foundation for what is coming. In this dream many people were practicing putting tents up, however, I knew that this somehow was not just a test, this would be a temporary dwelling place because a difficult challenge was going to happen. Once I chose where my tent would be, I was stuck with that ground, good or bad, strong or weak, for this next season. While tents are temporary structures it was clear that wherever a person placed their tent is where they would be during the next challenges and season. I was cautioned to consider the ground, while in the same space, next to obvious solid ground, were patches of deep sand. The Storm is Coming.... BUILD a Shelter! The vision (David W): This scene was on the beach along the coast. There was a man who saw the incoming storm, and had acquired a tent or shelter, supplies and instructions. He clearly heard the Spirit say, "the storm is coming, build." Yet, this person stood there, with instructions in hand, and the tent in front of him. In his mind he was convinced he was building but actually, he was doing nothing with what he had as the storm drew closer. This dream and visions tell us speak to us about today, the near future and the future.  Yesterday I received a report from Apostle John Mark, the minister who oversees 1Church1Day in Myanmar (Burma) and represents KLI's work there. Cyclone Komen dropped over three feet of rain in an eight day period at the end of July (click here). Many died and thousands of families were displaced. Four families who are part of the ministry there lost their home as well. Here's is an excerpt from his report that describes what he did with the aid we sent. Tim, today we went to 3 villages ,where our members are affected by flood. We distribute rice, money and clothes. Right now our members left homes and stayed in big Christian church building. They are told to stay for next two months. There is shortage of supplies. Please continue to pray for us. Bless you. John Mark Please join us in praying for them as well. Disease is rampant. So far John Mark's family oldest son ended up hospitalized with Dengue fever and Hepatitus. His younger son and baby daughter have recently suffered from a bout of severe diarrhea. I saw an image of a great walled city with high watchtowers. I could see the land all around the city: the roads leading to the city, the fields surrounding it, the forests far out in the distance, the people who would come and go. I could see the watchmen in the towers. They were on the watch, doing their jobs, but they also seemed relaxed. Not slack, just confident. They could see far in the distance, knowing when both individuals and armies were approaching the city, and well aware of all that was happening out in the surrounding fields. As I watched the watchmen, I could see there was no fear, no striving, no panic---no matter what they saw. They just responded to whatever happened quickly and smoothly. The Lord said "readiness is your way of life" This is what the Lord spoke to me then: From here on out, readiness is your way of life. It is not readiness for one event, for one crisis, or for one day when everything shifts. For there will be many events, many crises, many shifts. Shift your thinking to this and ready yourself. Not in panic, not in striving, not in fear, but in fact, IN PEACE. A state of war exists from here on out, but you are in my timing, under my covering, and within my walls of grace and peace. Prepare for what is ahead, for everything outside of my covering will be in strife--from here on out. Live with peace and with the confidence that comes from preparedness.
