![]() Many who claim to be Christian in my nation have an escapist mentality. They can't wait to get out of here. You know, beam me up Jesus! Because of that they tend to avoid getting involved in ...... this LIFE. Jesus called us to be "salt and light." He commanded us to go into all the world and preach the gospel. He taught us to pray that His kingdom would manifest itself on earth. One of the reasons there is so much darkness and corruption in politics is because so many who call themselves Christian's retreated from that arena. I want to challenge all who call themselves Christians to not retreat but rather engage in every sphere of society which includes politics; the governing of this nation which God put within our hands to steward. I applaud those who do and I admonish those (25 million DID NOT participate in the last election) who do not. If there is an absence of light, it is the Church's (minister's) fault. I thought this Facebook post and my response would give you a little insight into how I practice applying scripture in making decisions as it pertains to civil government. The Presidential Debate Framed the Post Facebook post: I can't watch anymore tonight. I recorded it, so I can digest it in bits. This live fact check just might help me! 😳. Tim: Just check the political persuasion of your fact checkers! Her reply: Both of them morally disgust me...so for me, I'll just have to pick the least of the two evils. That is MY opinion on this Presidential race. I don't usually share anything on my political views, so this will be the extent of it. Tim: I know! As A Christian I look at....
Tim will be in Detroit & Flint Michigan - October 21-23 Recently the chaplain serving the Detroit Police Department asked me to come and serve the Church in Detroit and Flint MI. Recently Flint's been in the news because of the water issue brought to the forefront again because Trump's visit and you will also see a few articles I've shared how Detroit has been listed as the most dangerous city in America three years in a row.
In fact, my host, Apostle Chappell just shared with me how another apostle's grandchildren had just been murdered and another police officer just died due to complications from a non-fatal gunshot wound. Their hands are full, their hearts are grieved, their resources are overwhelmed and they've asked for our help. Pray with me that I hit the mark and God prepares the heart of a people to hear and respond to His word. No politician nor any political party can fix this. Their only hope is God's abiding presence and He is ushered in through His Church. Pray God protect them, provide the provision so that we might do all things well and that a supernatural unity and strength would come to build my Father's house of prayer for all nations. Thank you for praying and giving. ![]() Today marks the 15th year since 9/11. Most American's can remember exactly where they were the day the Twin Towers and the Pentagon were attacked by Islamic terrorists. Most have read or have heard Rabbi Jonathan Cahn's "The Harbinger" which provides a moving prophetic perspective of what God was doing not only in America but in the world. As I began my personal devotions before the sun rose this morning I was contemplating this day not as an American, a veteran who defended and loves this nation, but as a Christian, a minister with a unique gift and call to see my Father's house of prayer for all nations built and His Church united and His body mobilized as the army of the Lord (Isa. 56:7, John 17:21, Ezk 37:1-11) because of Joel 2. I was led to review many of the 9:11 scriptures which I'd like to share. When combined together they present a powerful message as to what our heavenly Father's will is not only for America but for the world? One Decision & Two Experiences Before I share the scriptures and what God said I'd like to remind you of God's ways. Remember when God delivered the children of Israel out of Egypt. God made one decision which affected people two different ways depending upon which camp you were in. The ones who rejected God and worshiped idols oppressed God's people perceived God's decision as judgment while the Israelite's perceived the same decision as deliverance. So it is today. One decision by God yields two different experiences simultaneously depending upon which camp people choose to place themselves in. This is how a nation can experience "the worst of times and the best of times." Let's take a look at what some 9:11 scriptures reveal. |
