God is at Work among the Youth in Myanmar

Dr. Kawl found us on the web in 2006 and began using Operation Rolling Thunder as a strategy to mobilize prayer in his province in Myanmar (Burma). It is a persecuted nation having a distinction of having the longest running civil war in the world. The persecution of Christians in some provinces is terrible. 2013 we visited him to see what all God had done (click here) and to verify the fruit.  I am happy to say they'd not reported half of all God had done. Truly God's abiding presence changes everything. His semi-annual report follows. For those of you who have allied with us through your giving know that you share in the fruit of this report. 

Dr. Kawl Reports:
Our ministry Light Bearer Ministries has been blessed by the Lord in this year. Even though we are small ministry, we praise God for enabling us to accomplish what we have planned. Under LBM, we have a specific outreach to youths, we give name as Kalaymyo Ignite Youth, this Ignite ministry is solely focused to reach out more young, teenagers and young adults especially to those who are sunk into the depth of drugs, games and prostitution.

Light Bearer Ministries also reach out to the children of underprivileged, poor and orphans. We have two functions for children impact ministry;

1. Orphanage ministry
2. Nursery education.

​Kalay Ignite Youth Outreach Result
On 17-22,May 2016, we had ORT Kick off and 24/7 prayer at Khampat Town, Sagaing Division. 40 of our team members went there, we support ourselves for food and transportation. We invite all the young people from every background, some are Christians some are non-Christian. 120 youths were attending our conference. We also teach them about salvation and the gifts of the Holy Spirit. After teaching 5 days, about 27 young people confessed and accepted Christ as their Lord and Savior. They confessed their sins with tears, they testified that they are saved by the blood of Jesus Christ, and vowed their lives to serve God and follow His desire. And 13 young people received gift of tongues, and 3 people got healing. Praise the Lord.

And also on 7-12th of June, we had another Youth Outreach and 3 days fasting prayer at Tikhuang Tum village of Thantlang Township at Chin State for a week. We hired one church building and hold it for a week. God bless us incredibly, 100 people mainly youth are attending, and 21 young people accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. We  taught about Salvation and Christian life. 8 people were healed and 5 young people received gift of tongues, 1 person received gift of prophecy. Praise the Lord.

In addition we've begun an orphanage called Adonai Child Rehabilitation Ministry. 

Adonai Child Rehabilitation Ministry
We thank God for Orphanage ministry. They are 11 Orphans this year, some are pure orphans, some are half orphans, some are unwanted children. We provide food and shelter, and education. We send them to government school. Our main motto is "Salvation and Education". We build them so that one day they will become a good Christian leader in their society.

​Nursery Education
We also have Nursery school at two villages, Elim Pre-school at Hakhalay village and Grace Nursery school at Tayakone village. At Elim there are 20 children, and at Grace there are 15 children. Volunteer teachers from our team members are teaching them. Our aim is to give them Christian education from their childhood so that they will not forget what they learned even when they are grown up. We believe that children are tomorrow's leaders and they need to be trained well and build up since they are young.
 
Conclusion
Our ministry Light Bearer Ministry is faith based Christian ministry, we covet everyone's prayer support and financial partnership. Our country Myanmar has been isolated for many years because of military rule, many foreigners do not even know Myanmar is there. Myanmar is listed as the poorest of the poor country in the world. But we thank God because He does not forget us. We are so much thankful to be associated and affiliated with Kingdom League International which is led by Apostle Tim Taylor for their faithful financial partnership and support of teaching materials. The kingdom of God in Myanmar is more and more broadened through our humble service and prayer support of all faithful saints all over the world.
