Thank you Jerusha for making me aware of this false report (Prov 6:16-19 - God hates a false witness and lying and so do I).
Original article follows:
I just saw this report regarding "Black Lives Matter" scheduling a "Day of Rage" on July 15th (click here to see which cities are affected). We are not ignorant of Satan's devices. He and his demonic hordes will seek to take advantage of any opportunity to spread death, destruction or lies.
His best schemes are not launched with a total lie or blatant destruction. But rather his best lies are embedded with truth. The more truth the easier it is to hide his lies and the more righteous the cause the easier it is for him to mask his work of destruction.
So the question is, how should the Church pray?
The very name Day of RAGE betrays the real author (Satan) who seeks to take advantage of people's pain and use it for his purposes. I submit that the following scripture gives us insight as to how to pray.
Recognize what Scripture Says
Scripture helps identify who the rage is actually against. Satan is the father of lies and he hates God and everything God loves. Because God loves people and sent His son to save them Satan wants to kill, steal and destroy what God loves. This is the war in heaven that spilled out on to earth spoken of in Revelation 12. The issue at hand, the prize if you will, are the souls of men and women and their eternal destiny in heaven or in hell.
When Satan uses people to attack the truth (ie. marriage, family, aborting children etc...), it is really an attack on Jesus Christ who is the "Way, the Truth and the Life." With this in mind consider:
Why do the nations rage, And the people plot a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, And the rulers take counsel together, Against the Lord and against His Anointed, saying, "Let us break Their bonds in pieces And cast away Their cords from us." He who sits in the heavens shall laugh; The Lord shall hold them in derision. Then He shall speak to them in His wrath, And distress them in His deep displeasure: "Yet I have set My King On My holy hill of Zion." "I will declare the decree: The Lord has said to Me, 'You are My Son, Today I have begotten You. Ask of Me, and I will give You The nations for Your inheritance, And the ends of the earth for Your possession. You shall break them with a rod of iron; You shall dash them to pieces like a potter's vessel. '" Now therefore, be wise, O kings; Be instructed, you judges of the earth. Serve the Lord with fear, And rejoice with trembling. Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, And you perish in the way, When His wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all those who put their trust in Him.
Arise, O Lord, in Your anger; Lift Yourself up because of the rage of my enemies; Rise up for me to the judgment You have commanded!.... Oh, let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end, But establish the just; For the righteous God tests the hearts and minds. My defense is of God, Who saves the upright in heart.
Those who do wickedly against the covenant he shall corrupt with flattery; but the people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits.
