On May 31, 2015 the mayor of Seattle oversaw the raising of the pride flag. He declared June the month of pride in Seattle.
I pray, Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do. For KLI and those working with us in 1Church1Day I say let this month of June be the month of humility.
They do not know nor understand that:
Personally I've been watching the increase of earthquakes and volcanic activity increasing around the Pacific rim's Ring of Fire. Why just this morning more earthquakes were recorded off the Oregon Coast by the USGS. Click here for KIRO 7's FB Report. Raising the pride flag almost seems like painting a bulls eye in this region.
If we (people) violate His word, it is because we in pride accompanied by ignorance have lifted up our heart and judged His word as unreliable. Think about how foolish it would be to get angry for operating a device outside the parameters of it's design. It is like trying to use your blow dryer to turn your tub into a jacuzzi. Electricity and water don't mix and the result could be deadly.
How can we respond in humility? I submit:
Humility acknowledges our error, our ignorance and our foolishness. Humility asks forgiveness. Humility intercedes. Humility chooses to do things God's way. God foresaw this time and made provision and said that in the latter days He would restore David's fallen tabernacle so that the rest of mankind could seek the Lord. It is the key to the harvest (Acts 15:16 and Amos 9:11).
Through 1Church1Day (formerly called Operation Rolling Thunder - click for results) we've provided a proven method for the Church (congregations in a city) can cooperate together to establish a 24/7 watch so as to invite God's abiding presence like King David did on MT Zion in the city of David. Why? Because:
