![]() Chapter 3- The Power of Prayer, Praise & Worship Continual prayer, praise and worship seats the courtroom of heaven so we can plead our case before the Lord of glory to get mercy and justice released on earth as it is in heaven. This is one of the key precepts of Operation Rolling Thunder and one of the reasons why we see so many results. Excerpt from chapter 3 "The Power of Prayer, Praise and Worship," in Operation Rolling Thunder Revised. Click here to order Operation Rolling Thunder. Psalm 22:3 says “But You are holy, enthroned in the praises of Israel.” The word enthroned is “yashab” in the Hebrew. Strong’s Concordance defines it as “to sit down (specifically as a judge, in ambush, in quiet), to dwell, to settle and to marry.”1 As I meditated on this scripture I marveled at how multifaceted God always is. God is love and at the same time, He is a consuming fire. His zeal for His bride can lead to great tenderness, kindness and affection for a person who is in His Church while simultaneously it can be very dangerous for an enemy who would attack His bride the Church. Hence, He can serve as a judge who could order the ambush of an enemy while simultaneously presiding over a marriage. In essence, praise creates a big chair for God to come and sit as a judge. Daniel 7:9 says that Daniel watched until the thrones were put in place and the Ancient of Days was seated. Thrones are set for judgment. Daniel goes on to describe how there was one making war against the saints of God and overcoming them: Until the Ancient of Days came, and a judgment was made in favor of the saints of the Most High, and the time came for the saints to possess the kingdom. Daniel 7:22 There is a time for the saints of God to possess the kingdom. A judgment will be rendered in the favor of the saints. As I meditated on this, I remembered other Scriptures that paint the picture of a courtroom. You have a prosecutor, witnesses who testify, a legal advocate and the judge. Satan is the accuser of the brethren, Jesus is our advocate, God the Father is the judge. "I, even I, am He who blots out your transgressions for My own sake; And I will not remember your sins. Put Me in remembrance; Let us contend together; State your case, that you may be acquitted. Isaiah 43:25-26 Hear now what the Lord says: "Arise, plead your case before the mountains, And let the hills hear your voice. Micah 6:1 Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven,” Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death. Revelation 12:10-11
In mercy the throne will be established; And One will sit on it in truth, in the tabernacle of David, judging and seeking justice and hastening righteousness." Isaiah 16:5 I like what Rick Joiner says in his book “Epic Battles of the Last Days.” He states, “The scriptures reveal that there are two acts which go on continually before the throne of God – intercession and accusation.” He goes on to state that, while Satan no longer is able to go before God’s throne because he was thrown out of heaven, he uses the saints who do have access to God’s throne. He says, “To the degree that the enemy has access to our lives he will use us to accuse and criticize the brethren.” 2 Which witness would you like to bring before God, accusation or intercession? As praise creates a big chair for God to come and sit as a judge He desires for you and me to have audience with Him that we may seek deliverance from our enemy. His throne is set for MERCY. He made provision for our sin through Jesus that we might be delivered from our adversary the devil. My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. 1 John 2:1 No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, And their righteousness is from Me," Says the Lord. Isaiah 54:17 Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them. Hebrews 7:25 When it comes time to render a decision, God speaks. He seeks those who would hear Him and then proclaim that word on the earth. Many nations shall come and say, "Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, To the house of the God of Jacob; He will teach us His ways, And we shall walk in His paths." For out of Zion the law shall go forth, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem. He shall judge between many peoples, And rebuke strong nations afar off; Micah 4:2-3 And who can proclaim as I do? Then let him declare it and set it in order for Me,… Isaiah 44:7 The Lord gave the word; Great was the company of those who proclaimed it: Psalm 68:11 This is another key to establishing the gospel of the kingdom. God’s people need to hear our Father’s spoken word and then release that decision, that judgment on the earth. To summarize, continual prayer, praise and worship seat the courtroom of heaven. God wants us to come before Him in love and wisdom, plead our case using His word and to hear His decision and then to lend our lips to release His decision on earth as it is in heaven.
