![]() Watchman Report from 9-1-15 1C1D Church in the Highlands - Lori B. I saw an image of a great walled city with high watchtowers. I could see the land all around the city: the roads leading to the city, the fields surrounding it, the forests far out in the distance, the people who would come and go. I could see the watchmen in the towers. They were on the watch, doing their jobs, but they also seemed relaxed. Not slack, just confident. They could see far in the distance, knowing when both individuals and armies were approaching the city, and well aware of all that was happening out in the surrounding fields. As I watched the watchmen, I could see there was no fear, no striving, no panic---no matter what they saw. They just responded to whatever happened quickly and smoothly. The Lord said "readiness is your way of life" This is what the Lord spoke to me then: From here on out, readiness is your way of life. It is not readiness for one event, for one crisis, or for one day when everything shifts. For there will be many events, many crises, many shifts. Shift your thinking to this and ready yourself. Not in panic, not in striving, not in fear, but in fact, IN PEACE. A state of war exists from here on out, but you are in my timing, under my covering, and within my walls of grace and peace. Prepare for what is ahead, for everything outside of my covering will be in strife--from here on out. Live with peace and with the confidence that comes from preparedness. Panic is only for those unprepared. Fear is only for those unready. When you live prepared, you can... ![]() dwell in my peace and safety because you are ready to shift when the moments of crisis come. Be ready for shifting, not once, but many times. Shift from watchfulness into urgency, from urgency into battle, and from battle into rest and peace. Be ready to shift, whatever comes. Set upon your watch and when you see the runners coming with news, shift. Dwell with your families, but when you hear the battle cry, shift. Keep your provisions high. When it's time for battle, fight, but don't battle too long. Return to rest and peace, return to my protective walls where you can work to keep your provisions high. Stay rested so you can stay alert. Do not live in a state of panic. Do not strive in the battle, nor persuade your brother to strive with you. There will be many troop movements among my ready army. Each unit has its assignment, its orders, its timing. Some will be fighting while others rest. Some will rest while others work to prepare and provide. Some will work, while others move out for battle. Be ready to shift. Fear, panic, and confusion will reign, but with my prepared ones, there is peace and rest. My city is well fortified. My walls are strong and my watchtowers high. Armies may assemble against you; send troops out to meet them. Know that there is no force that can rise up against you and take away the victory I have already won. There is no army large enough to defeat my well fortified city. The battle is out in the field. The battle is for those who are not safe within my walls. Send troops out to the fields--workers for the harvest. The Harvest Take your sword to the field to defeat the enemy and then swing your sickle to bring in my harvest. There is safety within my walls but danger in the fields. Shift quickly and run to save all whom you can and bring them to the refuge of my walled city. This is your lifestyle from here on out. Shift. Move. Prepare. Fight. Rescue. Rest. Rejoice. Rejoice for your redemption draws nigh. (Note: I kept hearing the phrase "from here on out" at the beginning of the word and I took it to mean "from this point forward," but once I got to the end of the message I saw that it had a dual meaning. It also meant from here in the city to out in the field.) SCRIPTURES: Proverbs 18:10 The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous man runs into it and is safe. 1 Thess 5:1-9 Now, brothers and sisters, about times and dates we do not need to write to you, 2 for you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. 3 While people are saying, “Peace and safety,” destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape. 4 But you, brothers and sisters, are not in darkness so that this day should surprise you like a thief. 5 You are all children of the light and children of the day. We do not belong to the night or to the darkness. 6 So then, let us not be like others, who are asleep, but let us be awake and sober. 7 For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk, get drunk at night. 8 But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, putting on faith and love as a breastplate, and the hope of salvation as a helmet. 9 For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. Isaiah 54:9-17 “This is like the days of Noah[a] to me: as I swore that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth, so I have sworn that I will not be angry with you, and will not rebuke you. 10 For the mountains may depart and the hills be removed, but my steadfast love shall not depart from you, and my covenant of peace shall not be removed,” says the Lord, who has compassion on you. 11 “O afflicted one, storm-tossed and not comforted, behold, I will set your stones in antimony, and lay your foundations with sapphires.[b] 12 I will make your pinnacles of agate,[c] your gates of carbuncles,[d] and all your wall of precious stones. 13 All your children shall be taught by the Lord, and great shall be the peace of your children. 14 In righteousness you shall be established; you shall be far from oppression, for you shall not fear; and from terror, for it shall not come near you. 15 If anyone stirs up strife, it is not from me; whoever stirs up strife with you shall fall because of you. 16 Behold, I have created the smith who blows the fire of coals and produces a weapon for its purpose. I have also created the ravager to destroy; 17 no weapon that is fashioned against you shall succeed, and you shall refute every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord and their vindication[e] from me, declares the Lord.”
