Tomorrow we celebrate Thanksgiving in America and Judaism celebrates Hannakah. Discovery.com says that this is "a once in more than 70,000-year event." This is fascinating in and of itself.
Thanksgiving comes from Christians who seperated from England and came to America on the Mayflower to worship in freedom. The suffered many hardships one of which was many died due to starvation. At one point they were reduced to 5 kernels of corn per day. After several miracles during the first year which enabled them to survive they hosted a meal in which they gave thanks. The governor had 5 kernels or corn set on each plate and charged each person to give 5 things he/she was thankful for.
It is surmised that Thanksgiving was inspired by the Feasts of Tabernacles. George Washington on November 26, 1789 issued a proclamation for a special day of thanks and Abraham Lincoln proclaimed the last Thursday in November 1863 as "A day of thanksgiving and praise to our beneficient Father."
Hannakah is also called the Festival of Lights or the Feast of Dedication. It celebrates the Jews regaining control of Jerusalem during the Maccabean revolt and their rededication of the temple. They celebrate this feast with a menorah that has an extra candle.
What makes this even more interesting is that the icy ISON Comet will have its closest brush with the sun on that day too. Scientist are waiting to see if it will melt or survive its encounter with the sun. Click here for the ISON Comet.
What are the odds that all of this occurs on this one day? I say they are God odds.
In 2012 I heard John Paul Jackson speak about the unusual solar and lunar eclipses that would occur during certian Jewish Feasts. So I did my own research and shared it in Joel 2:31 - Signs in the Heavens & Jewish Feasts in 2015. Recently John Hagee published a book called Four Blood Moons which highlights the eclipses that will occur during 2014 and 2015 during the feasts. Our research overlaps here a little but note that this is EXTREMELY rare.
Through ORT we've recorded over 70+ unusual supernatural signs and wonders. I have learned that God has used the heavens to communicate. It's part of his nature or signature (supernatural sign-nature). So Thanksgiving this year does not suprise me. Rather, it inspires me to seek God for what He is communicating.
What's God saying through all of this?
I submit, we have much to be thankful for IF we keep our focus on heaven. It's time to re-dedicate ourselves back to the Lord just like the Jews dedicated the temple back to the Lord a second time after the Maccabean revolt. It's time to let our lights so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify our Father in heaven. Jesus taught us to pray kingdom come and will be done ON EARTH as it is in HEAVEN. I invite you to join me in dedicating ourselves to manifesting heaven on earth in a new and glorious way during this season of thanksgiving.
"And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring; 26 men's hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 27 Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. 28 Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near."
