The History of Islamic Hostility Towards the West is Much Deeper Than You Think

Chuck Colson said "the history of Islamic hostility toward the West goes back centuries. Radical Muslims are still smarting over the defeat of their armies south of Paris in the year 732, not to mention the catastrophic defeat of the Ottoman Empire at the gates of Vienna on September 11, 1683. That's right, September 11. Bin Laden chose his date for a reason. He was avenging the defeat of Muslim armies more than four hundred years earlier. September 11 has roots in an [ongoing long-term] irrational hatred of the West."

The truth is, it goes deeper than this.  This is a spiritual war manifesting itself on earth as it was in heaven.  This war has been manifesting itself ever since Abram fathered Ishmael and Isaac (Gen. 16-25).  It actually began in eternity.

Revelation 12:17
And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and he went to make war with the rest of her offspring, who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Revelation 13:6-8
Then he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme His name, His tabernacle, and those who dwell in heaven. 7 It was granted to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them. And authority was given him over every tribe, tongue, and nation. 8 All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

Daniel 7:21-22
“I was watching; and the same horn was making war against the saints, and prevailing against them, 22 until the Ancient of Days came, and a judgment was made in favor of the saints of the Most High, and the time came for the saints to possess the kingdom.

Revelation 12:11-12
And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death. 12 Therefore rejoice, O heavens, and you who dwell in them! Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and the sea! For the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, because he knows that he has a short time.”

This war has been manifesting itself ever since Abram fathered Ishmael and Isaac. While its manifests through people and governments the only solution is a heart change which only Jesus can do. Truly this article below highlights this:

Our old friend Matthew Schwartz, a prophet and teacher, the founder of Intercessors for Israel spoke to Golda Meir just before she passed.  Matt told us two things.  First, she had accepted Jesus.  How awesome is that?  Then he shared her insightful statement.  She said that until the Muslims love their children more than they hate us, there will be war.

Forgiveness is the key, and Jesus is the only one I know who can deliver that through His love.
