Today marks the 15th year since 9/11. Most American's can remember exactly where they were the day the Twin Towers and the Pentagon were attacked by Islamic terrorists. Most have read or have heard Rabbi Jonathan Cahn's "The Harbinger" which provides a moving prophetic perspective of what God was doing not only in America but in the world.
As I began my personal devotions before the sun rose this morning I was contemplating this day not as an American, a veteran who defended and loves this nation, but as a Christian, a minister with a unique gift and call to see my Father's house of prayer for all nations built and His Church united and His body mobilized as the army of the Lord (Isa. 56:7, John 17:21, Ezk 37:1-11) because of Joel 2.
I was led to review many of the 9:11 scriptures which I'd like to share. When combined together they present a powerful message as to what our heavenly Father's will is not only for America but for the world?
One Decision & Two Experiences
Before I share the scriptures and what God said I'd like to remind you of God's ways. Remember when God delivered the children of Israel out of Egypt. God made one decision which affected people two different ways depending upon which camp you were in. The ones who rejected God and worshiped idols oppressed God's people perceived God's decision as judgment while the Israelite's perceived the same decision as deliverance.
So it is today. One decision by God yields two different experiences simultaneously depending upon which camp people choose to place themselves in. This is how a nation can experience "the worst of times and the best of times."
Let's take a look at what some 9:11 scriptures reveal.
The Restoration of David's Tabernacle
God is restoring David's tabernacle. This is the place where teams of people offer up 24/7 prayer, praise and worship in a city and nation. This is the atmosphere of heaven and is the key to God's abiding presence. This tabernacle was set up on Mount Zion. Zion is the place of the house of prayer for all nations (Isa. 56:7). This is the key to the end time harvest. This is why there have been so many ministries focused on prayer and houses of prayer popping up all over the world. (Amos 9:11 & Psalm 9:11)
9/11 Was a Sign, a Judgment and a Wake Up Call
In America 911 is the number you dial in an emergency. It is an urgent call for help. It seems as if many have ignored the call while a few "first responders" have attempted to minister to the victims. As in any horrific disaster the casualties far outnumbered the "first responders" who in order to manage their limited resources perform a "triage" and go around marking the victims. Angels are going around now and assessing each person and placing marks on them.
In Ezekiel 9:11 and Ezra 9:11 we see God marking and making a distinction between those who who groan, cry, fast and pray over the abominations that we being committed. The abominations most egregious were bloodshed and perversity. The ones primarily responsible were the civil and religious leaders. It was so bad that God forsook the land and withdrew from the city and took His glory from the temple in that city. The judgments were previously spelled out in God's word. It is no surprise but merely the consequence of not obeying God's voice. (Daniel 9:11, Ezekiel 9:11 and Ezra 9:11)
So here is the question. Do you, does your life bear the marks of the Lord Jesus Christ? Do you groan and cry over the abominations that destroy this nation? If you are a civil or religious leader have you promoted policies, laws and or teaching the Bible identifies as sin, iniquity or abomination? If you have, there is still time to repent but the time is short.
God Made Provision to Save and Deliver His People
Because of God's covenant based upon truth and guaranteed by His love and faithfulness He has made provision to save His people. It is just as sure as the agreement He made with Noah and Israel through Moses. God desires all men be saved and He knows how to deliver from the most dire circumstances but know that He will not violate your freewill. So whom do you choose? Your way or His Way (Jesus Christ)? (Zechariah 9:11, Genesis 9:11 and Deuteronomy 9:11)
For those who choose God and His ways you can expect to see clearly, discern accurately and in doing so you will receive healing, deliverance and long life (eternal life) in God's presence. (Proverbs 9:11, Luke 9:11, John 9:11)
The Prophets Play a Critical Role in this Time
The primary ministers highlighted in times like this are the prophets. They are sent to warn, to deliver, to speak to leaders of the nation. Wise people will respond and act upon God's word delivered through them. (1 Samuel 9:11, Ezra 9:11, 2 Kings 9:11)
The People who ACT upon God's Word Will be Delivered
Esther 9:11 reveals the results of their deliverance. The enemies of God who tried to destroy God's people are they themselves destroyed because God's people were authorized to respond. The wicked scheme was revealed but the deliverance required God's people to act in and with aggressive faith. Note the king was not, if I can use these terms, "a believer," but was influenced and advised by believers.
I will encourage each of you to take these scriptures and apply them to the situation in America today and allow Holy Spirit to reveal to you how this can apply today. I pray you'd be encouraged and I pray you hit the mark for your destiny in Christ's Church as we go about to represent Jesus' gospel of the kingdom.
Amos 9:11-13 (Acts 15:16-17)
“On that day I will raise up The tabernacle of David, which has fallen down, And repair its damages; I will raise up its ruins, And rebuild it as in the days of old; That they may possess the remnant of Edom, And all the Gentiles who are called by My name,” Says the Lord who does this thing. “Behold, the days are coming,” says the Lord, “When the plowman shall overtake the reaper, And the treader of grapes him who sows seed; The mountains shall drip with sweet wine, And all the hills shall flow with it.
Sing praises to the Lord, who dwells in Zion! Declare His deeds among the people.
Just then, the man clothed with linen, who had the inkhorn at his side, reported back and said, “I have done as You commanded me.” (Note the context of Ezekiel 9 & 10. God was putting a mark on His people as judgment was sent to the wicked city and provision was made for His people even as God had to withdraw His presence).
Ezra 9:11 which You commanded by Your servants the prophets, saying, ‘The land which you are entering to possess is an unclean land, with the uncleanness of the peoples of the lands, with their abominations which have filled it from one end to another with their impurity. (Note the context of Ezra 9:5-8 as Ezra is fasting, praying and confessing the guilt of his people with specific focus being on how civil and religious leaders had led the people to sin. He is interceding).
Yes, all Israel has transgressed Your law, and has departed so as not to obey Your voice; therefore the curse and the oath written in the Law of Moses the servant of God have been poured out on us, because we have sinned against Him.
God Will Save His People
“As for you also, Because of the blood of your covenant, I will set your prisoners free from the waterless pit. Return to the stronghold, You prisoners of hope. Even today I declare That I will restore double to you. For I have bent Judah, My bow, Fitted the bow with Ephraim, And raised up your sons, O Zion, Against your sons, O Greece, And made you like the sword of a mighty man.” Then the Lord will be seen over them, And His arrow will go forth like lightning. The Lord God will blow the trumpet, And go with whirlwinds from the south. The Lord of hosts will defend them; They shall devour and subdue with slingstones. They shall drink and roar as if with wine; They shall be filled with blood like basins, Like the corners of the altar. The Lord their God will save them in that day, As the flock of His people. For they shall be like the jewels of a crown, Lifted like a banner over His land--
Thus I establish My covenant with you: Never again shall all flesh be cut off by the waters of the flood; never again shall there be a flood to destroy the earth.”
And it came to pass, at the end of forty days and forty nights, that the Lord gave me the two tablets of stone, the tablets of the covenant.
For by me your days will be multiplied, And years of life will be added to you.
But when the multitudes knew it, they followed Him; and He received them and spoke to them about the kingdom of God, and healed those who had need of healing.
He answered and said, “A Man called Jesus made clay and anointed my eyes and said to me, ‘Go to the pool of Siloam and wash.’ So I went and washed, and I received sight.”
1 Samuel 9:11
As they went up the hill to the city, they met some young women going out to draw water, and said to them, “Is the seer here?”
2 Kings 9:11 Then Jehu came out to the servants of his master, and one said to him, “Is all well? Why did this madman come to you?” And he said to them, “You know the man and his babble.” (note the context is provided through the previous verses wherein this prophet was sent by Elisha who anointed Jehu to deal with, judge, the wicked administration of Ahab & Jezebel).
Ezra 9:11 which You commanded by Your servants the prophets, saying, ‘The land which you are entering to possess is an unclean land, with the uncleanness of the peoples of the lands, with their abominations which have filled it from one end to another with their impurity.(Because forsook Gods commands....(Ezra fasting, praying & confessing .....)
Esther 9:11 On that day the number of those who were killed in Shushan the citadel was brought to the king. The Jews (Gods people) defended themselves when through Mordecai and Esther the wicked plans to destroy God's people was revealed through them to the king. The perpetrators were judged and Gods people saved as they acted in faith.
