![]() We are entering into a spiritual winter. It's time to stoke the fires. Ecclesiastes 3:1 says "To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven. This is the season when we celebrate the great gift of salvation that our heavenly Father gave us by sending His son Jesus. Truly He is the reason for this season. Spiritual seasons are marked by changes just like natural seasons. For example, you can tell Fall is upon us as temperatures begin to fall and leaves begin to change. God gave us a sign about a change in the spiritual season on Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving and Chanukah fell on the same day. This event won't occur again for another 70,000+ years. When combined with the ISON comet's closest encounter with the sun we have a sign that truly says pay attention. God is speaking to us through this sign in the heavens and on the earth. If there ever was a time for His light to shine through us, it is now! We are entering a winter season naturally and spiritually. In the spiritual winter the love of many will grow cold. But those within whom the love of God and the zeal of the Lord burns, they will be like that cozy fire place drawing many to come near to enjoy the warmth of their fire. Scriptures that speak to a winter season.
Matthew 24:12 And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. The word translated "cold" is fascinating and sheds tremendous light. The Greek word translated cold is actually "psycho." In the Greek it means to breathe on something so as to reduce the temperature or make it cool. This word also serves as the basis for our modern understanding of "psycho" used in words such as a psychopathic or psychotic person. Dictionary.com says these are crazy or mentally unstable. Click here to learn more about "Lawlessness Psychosis & the Love of God." 2 Timothy 3:1-5 But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, 4 traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! NKJV Take a look at the conditions that precede the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Isaiah 59:9-10 Therefore justice is far from us, Nor does righteousness overtake us; We look for light, but there is darkness! For brightness, but we walk in blackness! 10 We grope for the wall like the blind, And we grope as if we had no eyes; We stumble at noonday as at twilight; We are as dead men in desolate places. NKJV Isaiah 59:15-18 The Redeemer of Zion Then the Lord saw it, and it displeased Him That there was no justice. 16 He saw that there was no man, And wondered that there was no intercessor; Therefore His own arm brought salvation for Him; And His own righteousness, it sustained Him. 17 For He put on righteousness as a breastplate, And a helmet of salvation on His head; He put on the garments of vengeance for clothing, And was clad with zeal as a cloak. 18 According to their deeds, accordingly He will repay, Fury to His adversaries, Recompense to His enemies; The coastlands He will fully repay. NKJV Then the Lord says: Isaiah 60:1-5 Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. 2 For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, And deep darkness the people; But the Lord will arise over you, And His glory will be seen upon you. 3 The Gentiles shall come to your light, And kings to the brightness of your rising. "Lift up your eyes all around, and see: They all gather together, they come to you; Your sons shall come from afar, And your daughters shall be nursed at your side. 5 Then you shall see and become radiant, And your heart shall swell with joy; Because the abundance of the sea shall be turned to you, The wealth of the Gentiles shall come to you. NKJV Then Jesus says: Matthew 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven. NKJV We are to be the lights in darkness. It's time to stoke our fires because the warmth of the love of God that burns in our heart will draw people in these latter days.

I have never felt the need more than now to be a light in the darkness. It seems to get darker and darker and the need to grow to be witnesses. We, as children of God, need to be aware of the lost and reach out to them--and pray, pray, pray for this fallen world. It seems you are one of many prophets who are saying to "Arise, shine."

Thank you Tim for sharing what the Lord is speaking through your ministry into the ministry lives of God's people. I wonder if I could have your permission to quote a portion of this (with your credited) for Pray Thurston/Washington 2014 January edition? I have asked Jason Hubbard permission to quote from Christ Reformation document as well - calling us to 21 days of prayer and fasting and will also add comments from others in leadership. It is critical the 'sparks' of light we are keep the fires burning! You are valued, appreciated and esteemed. May God continue to shed His grace on you and your ministry. Within the circle of His great Love, Diana
