![]() Ezekiel 22:30 - So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one. NKJV Why would God call a people, ANYONE for that matter, to stand in the gap and build up a wall? It is because: Hosea 8:7 - "They sow the wind, And reap the whirlwind. The stalk has no bud; It shall never produce meal. If it should produce, Aliens would swallow it up. NKJV How did they sow to the wind? They:
What kind of wall is that and how can it be done? Click here for Build the Wall! The wall is a wall of prayer. It is a wall of intercession.
The city of Jerusalem was in shambles when they began to build a wall and a wall of prayer in Nehemiah's time. The children of Israel were greatly oppressed by the Egyptians to when God made a distinction between Goshen and the rest of Egypt. In each case there was one decision that God made. God decided to restore the city of Jerusalem and God decided to deliver Israel from slavery. Each persons personal decision determined what they experienced. If you determined to believe God and live with the decision the Israelites made in Goshen, then that person enjoyed a completely different experience as compared to the Egyptians. God designed the universe and this world. There are a spiritual laws in place. They work just like the law of gravity. That law is neither good nor evil, it just works the way it works. If we understand it and live our lives with that understanding we can enjoy a certain benefit of operating with it's law in mind. If we ignore that law of gravity and step off a high cliff, we will experience the impact of that decision. That decision would hurt and possibly even kill. Leviticus 18 and 20 list some the lewd actions that will cause a land to vomit the inhabitants out. It's a spiritual law that works. God recognizing man's humanity and disposition to sin made atonement for mankind through Jesus Christ our Lord. Along with the shed blood God also sent His Holy Spirit with grace, His divine power, to enable us to become like Him and to live like Him. The blood of Christ wipes away sin which separates us from Him so we can have a relationship with God. He wants fellowship with us. God is not willing that any should perish. He seeks an intercessor. One who will intercede upon behalf of other people and the land. He wants the veil lifted from people's hearts so that they can know and receive the truth. God is not just seeking "an intercessor," He is seeking an army of intercessors. But that army starts with one. It starts with you. It starts with your household. With all that is coming if you will seek God's face personally, with your household and with a corporate body like your local congregation or a house of prayer I believe God will make a distinction between you and what others experience just like He did for the inhabitants of Goshen. Building the wall of prayer is the key to saving our households and our cities. That's why God called Nehemiah to come and rebuild the wall. Don't know where to start? Click here for Build the Wall.
