End of the Nuclear Family?  Not in Seattle says Seattle Times

By Tim Taylor:  Gene Balk of the Seattle Times wrote "End of the Nuclear Family?  Not in Seattle" on December 28, 2014. This article provides a statistical analysis of the apparent resurgence of the traditional family. It is obvious this was written from a secular view.  However, I find it very encouraging as Seattle was rated as the number one city out of the top 50 cities in America for the greatest number of two parent homes for children under the age of 18.

With the attack that's been mounted on traditional marriage I personally find this very encouraging. In the article they attempt to imply that homosexual marriage (which is actually an oxymoron) contributes to the results but finally conclude they are unable to do that.

One of the reasons I got excited about this article is it highlights one of the important benefits of two parent homes. It is economically better for everyone.

Combine that with Charisma Magazines article from June 25, 2014 Church Divorce Rate Really Not Higher than Secular Society and we begin to see a different picture emerge from the narrative than has been presented over the last number of years. A Harvard researcher, Shaunti Feldhahn, devoted 8 years to studying the topic of divorce in America and found the divorce rate is far below the 50% that has been presented. Her conclusion was the average is more like 31% and those who attend church are much further below that number.

Glory to God! Our prayer (includes not only 1Church1Day but all the churches and ministries who have prayed for decades) for a decreasing divorce rate and decrease in single parent homes is being answered.
