Update on our Orphanage in a War Zone!

By Tim Taylor  May 11, 2023 - I just received a note from our minister in Burma/Myanmar who oversees the orphanage that was birthed out of the house of prayer we helped establish in 2010.  They've been in a war zone ever since the military junta seized power in February 2021 with the backing of the Chinese Communist Party.  For a brief overview of the history of this conflict click here. 

In this conflict churches have been burned, Christians murdered and or imprisoned.  In the midst of all of this, our minister, whom we call John Mark, continues to lead  a team of ministers and teachers who become fathers and mothers to these children.  They've been captured by our vision to raise up a generation to transform their nation inspired by the revelation of the mountain of the LORD's house (Isaiah 2:2-3, Micah 4:1-2 & Revelation 17:9) being established on the 7 mountains of society.  

John Mark just wrote saying:

​Dear beloved Tim and beloved Brenda,
 
Greetings to you in Jesus’ precious name. I hope you and Brenda are blessed by the Lord for His kingdom.
 
I praise the Lord for His goodness and faithfulness upon us. He leads us, He guides us and protects us from all kinds of dangers, harms and destruction of the civil war. Not only that, God feeds us with good meals everyday through the faithful saints of God. By God’s grace our orphans children are healthy and strong. And the refugees are also blessed as they have access to food and shelter by the help of faithful saints of God.
 
We like to express our heartfelt thanks to you for your wonderful love, prayers and generous support in our troubling times. We have received the monies which you have sent recently to help the orphans and refugees. We are so humbled for your incredible love. Please share our deep thanks to all who pray for us and give for us.  We are praying daily for you and asking God’s blessing for you all.

"Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world."
